Dot pattern raw data for Japanese textile designs

Analysis of dot patterning on katagami. Excel files containing numerical descriptions of cut elements of katagami identified using imageJ software.

Each spreadsheet contains the raw, unedited data and a 'cleaned' set from which elements which are not drilled dot patterning have been removed. The cleaned dataset also contains fields calculating dot distance (between nearest points), identification of row number of nearest point and angle of elevation between nearest points. Distance and angle frequencies are plotted on separate sheets as histograms.

Filenames are the accession number of the katagami in the MoDA collection.
