Dataset - Design of SARS-CoV-2 protein S peptides recognized by the most frequent HLA alleles in the Moroccan population using an immunoinformatics approach
This dataset comprises SARS-CoV-2 sequences of various variants, including wild-type and mutated sequences, obtained from strains isolated from Moroccan patients. The dataset was curated to investigate human genetic diversity and its influence on the immune response to COVID-19. Utilizing in silico methods, epitopes capable of eliciting an immune response were identified, with a focus on the most prevalent HLA-I and HLA-II alleles in the Moroccan population. The dataset includes predictions of peptide-binding affinities between these alleles and SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein (S protein) peptides. These findings contribute to understanding host cell susceptibility and outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection, guiding further research on vaccination strategies.
