Data of TiO2 and BC/TiO2
This dataset comprises comprehensive structural, optical, and adsorption/photochemical reaction analyses of pristine TiO2 and BC/TiO2 mixed particles, including: (1) Structural properties. Raman spectroscopy data (confirming that BC has a π-conjugated aromatic structure), XPS spectra (Ti 2p, O 1s, and C 1s binding energy shifts, and XPS valence band shift). (2) Optical properties. UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra (light absorption capacity), photoluminescence spectra (charge separation), and EPR spectra (identification of reactive oxygen species). (3) Acetone uptake kinetics. Time-dependent acetone concentration on TiO2 and BC/TiO2 in a flow tube experiment. By systematically modulating key parameters (mineral dust mass, irradiation intensity, initial acetone concentration, temperature, and humidity), acetone uptake coefficients were quantitatively analyzed, highlighting the role of BC in enhancing photochemical properties. (4) Products analysis. Quantified volatile intermediates (e.g., formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acetic acid) via PTR-TOF-MS. Identified solid-phase residues (e.g., aldehyde and ketone byproducts) on dust surface by PFBHA-derivatized GC-MS.
