Data of PE in topsoil and subsoil

We compiled a global dataset using 41 studies that simultaneously investigated priming effects in topsoils and subsoils at corresponding sites with addition of simple C (e.g. glucose) or complex C (e.g. plant litter). The difference in the priming effect caused by simple and complex C between subsoil and topsoil depended on ecosystem type.
