Data meteo to common garden controlled water experiment
The dataset is associated with a common garden water manipulation experiment. It contains meteorological data, specifically air temperature and illuminance, recorded during the experimental period. The experiment was conducted at the Forest Research Institute (N 52.10134181168694, E 20.88140882090411). To simulate natural growing conditions for the tested seedlings, a forest gap was selected and covered with transparent PVC panels, allowing for controlled irrigation and exclusion of natural precipitation. Seedling pots were placed on a leveled surface lined with a 3 cm-high geogrid, which was used to facilitate water drainage and prevent waterlogging. The recorded meteorological characteristics reflect the microclimatic conditions beneath the PVC panels.
