Code and data needed for producing the stats and plots for Figure 1:

You should find the following in this directory:

./eyes -- materials for getting ommatidial diameters from image stacks. Refer to README.txt in that folder

./eye_stack_data.csv -- combined ommatidial data originally generated from the ./eyes directory

./Monitor2.txt -- results from the locomotor activity monitor (LAM) for the binary light condition. The file is a tab separated spreadsheet with a one row per minute of recording and the last 32 columns corresponding with each independent channel and therefore fly

./Monitor3.txt -- results from the LAM for the gradual light condition

./eye_size_analysis.ipynb -- analysis script used to generate the stats and plots used in Figure 1. Note: there are many extra cells in the notebook that are not included in the manuscript.

./*.svg or *.png -- figures produced by eye_size_analysiz.ipynb and used in either Figure 1 or Supplemental Figure 3.

./model_results_*.csv -- results of different regression models for 3 important time spans: 0-24, all day; 6-10, early; and 18-21, late.

./figs -- folder containing the .svg and .png files for Figure 1 and Supplemental Figure 3. These are combinations of the .svg files
