This research utilizes the concept of capitals to investigate the types of capital activated during the transition from education to work in Indonesia amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a qualitative phenomenological approach based on interviews with 41 graduates (the data are here), the study introduces the novel concept of 'solidarity capital'. This form of social capital, which became particularly prominent during the pandemic, is deeply embedded in Indonesia's cultural and social landscape. Solidarity capital embodies values such as empathy, mutual support, trust, reciprocity, and collective action, all of which played a vital role in overcoming challenges and enabling successful transitions from education to the workforce during the pandemic.
