This repository contains the code and scripts used for analyzing the impact of land use and cover change (LUCC) on global soil moisture (SM) through land-atmosphere interactions. The analysis integrates data-driven approaches and coupled Earth system models to investigate the mechanisms regulating surface (0–10 cm) soil moisture over the past century.
