This dataset consists of a climate feature dictionary and a climate loss concern dictionary. The climate feature dictionary provides seed words for nine types of climate events (heavy rain, hail, low temperature, drought, high temperature, lightning, sandstorm, typhoon, and smog). The original output is in Chinese. The climate loss concern dictionary includes three columns: risk, positive, and negative. The risk column contains 1,820 descriptions of climate risk losses as perceived by the public, with both the original Chinese versions and their English translations provided.

Both Chinese and English versions of these two dictionaries are provided, with the English version being directly translated from the Chinese. Although the translations have been reviewed and calibrated, non-Chinese readers are reminded that, when reproducing or extending this research, the differences between English and Chinese linguistic contexts should be taken into consideration, and the English vocabulary list should be used appropriately.
