<p dir="ltr">This document comprises the supplementary data for our submitted manuscript titled "Chromosome-level haplotype-resolved genome assembly of the traditional Chinese medicinal plant Mu-Tou-Hui (Patrinia heterophylla)." Here, we report the first chromosome-scale haplotype-resolved genome assembly for P. heterophylla, generated using PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing and Hi-C technology. The assembly comprises two haplotypes, 554.92 Mb (haplotype A) and 555.88 Mb (haplotype B). Accordingly, a total of 28,306 (26,260 functionally annotated) and 28,576 (26,516 functionally annotated) protein-coding genes were annotated in haplotypes A and B, respectively. Furthermore, we annotated 334.17 Mb of repetitive elements and 3,224 non-coding RNAs in haplotype A, compared to 347.57 Mb and 3,328 in haplotype B. This high-quality genomic resource will facilitate future genetic studies and biotechnological applications of in medicine, food and horticulture. This supplementary data package includes 8 files: - hapA_chr.fa and hapB_chr.fa contain the assembly results for the two haplotypes. - hapA.gff3 and hapB.gff3 provide the functional annotation results. - hapA.CDS.fa and hapB.CDS.fa comprise the coding sequences for each haplotype. - hapA_pep.fa and hapB_pep.fa present the protein sequences encoded by the genes of the respective haplotypes.</p>
