<p dir="ltr">ARETA (Alpine caRbon cyclE daTAbase) is a geo-database containing more than 3000 chemical analyses (major ions) of Alpine spring waters obtained both from the literature (scientific publications, books, websites, and other bibliographic sources) and from unpublished data collected during 2011-2022 fieldworks. For less than 20% of spring waters, analysis of the isotopic composition of water and carbon were also included, as well as flow rate values.</p><p dir="ltr">ARETA was designed to create a global database to store information related to the Earth’s carbon cycle as a support instrument for Connect4Carbon project (PRIN2017 Project – n. 2017LMNLAW).</p>
