3D Redesign Visualization of Mikrotrans Stops in Palmerah, Jakarta
. Jakarta Mikrotrans, a component of the city’s public transport system, plays a vital role in serving Jakarta’s residents with affordable and accessible transportation. However, despite its importance, the infrastructure surrounding Mikrotrans, particularly the bus stops, remains underdeveloped. Most Mikrotrans bus stops lack essential facilities, such as clear signage, shelters, seating, and proper lighting, which diminishes user experience and safety. This problem becomes particularly problematic during peak hours and adverse weather conditions, as passengers are exposed to discomfort and potential hazards. Furthermore, the absence of standardized bus stop locations often leads to irregular boarding and alighting practices, contributing to traffic congestion and inefficiency in service delivery. Developing more robust and functional bus stop infrastructure is crucial to improving overall public transport efficiency and user satisfaction in Jakarta. This paper aims to provide solutions to the current deficiencies in Mikrotrans bus stop infrastructure and advocates for strategic investments in developing safer, more user-friendly, and accessible bus stops by taking feedback from Mikrotrans users in Palmerah area. Enhancing this infrastructure can foster greater public transport usage and contribute to Jakarta’s broader urban mobility goals, reducing congestion and environmental impact.
