The field of Arabic language education is undergoing a significant transformation driven by rapid technological advancements and the widespread adoption of distance learning, particularly in response to recent global shifts. This transformation has opened promising opportunities for Arabic language instruction while presenting notable challenges requiring careful analysis and strategic solutions. The importance of this research stems from Arabic’s status as one of the most widely spoken languages globally and its role as a vital medium for cultural and religious communication within the Arab and Islamic worlds.

This study highlights the need to develop modern teaching methodologies that align with the demands of the digital age and leverage technological capabilities. It explores the concept of distance learning, emphasizing its advantages, such as flexibility, accessibility to diverse resources, and adaptability. It also examines challenges, including limited interaction, reduced social reinforcement, technological disparities, infrastructure constraints, and the need for interactive platforms addressing learners’ diverse needs.

The research further investigates the integration of digital technologies—such as educational applications, e-learning platforms, and artificial intelligence—into Arabic language instruction. It focuses on enhancing core skills, including reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Operating on the premise that digital tools are not merely supplementary aids but central to skill development, the study adopts a descriptive-analytical approach to evaluate technological tools. It concludes with recommendations to refine digital resources, ensuring they effectively meet learners’ needs and enhance their engagement with the Arabic language.
