Pandemics are not new to the global community. However, the recent Covid-19 outbreak brought many problems into the limelight. Countries had to make decisions based on how they viewed "Acceptable Loss," "Collateral Damage," and how much "Freedom of Choice" could be tolerated. As a globally connected society, we must be able to prepare ourselves to deal with these questions in a more efficient manner than was done during Covid-19. There is a strong correlation between Wars and Pandemics in this area. This paper attempts to elucidate and explain governments' and medical officials' problems when dealing with pandemics.
