Etude 1 (solo piano)

Etude 1 is a work for solo piano that explores the minimalist repetition of swirling arpeggiated patterns. The work draws on the repetitive catharsis of 20th-century minimalist composition, the sonic texture of virtuosic Chopinesque and Lisztian arpeggios, and harmonic inspiration from luminaries such as Robert Glasper through to Hisaishi.
