SCAVCOMP-ABM. A computer model to simulate competition among scavengers
The SCAVCOMP-ABM v40.2 model simulates the competition for carrion among hominins and carnivores in an Early Pleistocene European ecosystem. This model evaluates the viability of scavenging as a foraging strategy for hominins under different compositions of the carnivore guild and different group sizes.
SCAVCOMP-ABM is an agent-based model developed in Net Logo 6.2.2 (Wilensky, 1999). Model guidance and description have been included according to the ODD (Overview, Design Concepts, and Details) protocol (Grimm et al., 2010).
