R code containing the data exploration and analyses of the paper "Factors affecting intergroup encounter outcome and intensity in crested macaques (Macaca nigra)". It consists of several binomial GLMM and an LMM, testing for model assumptions (e.g. low VIF, lack of evidence for spatial and temporal autocorrelation, diagnostic plots) and with model selection tables, descriptive graphs, etc. It also includes calculating home ranges and core areas using Brownian Bridge Movement Models.
