The replication dataset for: "The Minor Fall, the Major Lift: Inferring Emotional Valence of Musical Chords through Lyrics". The dataset is obtained from ultimateguitar.com and gracenote API.

`chordwords.csv` contains the data about chords and associated words (and their counts).

- songID: arbitrary unique IDs for each song

- chordName: the original name of the chord

- chordCategory: parse chord category

- WordCount: the words and their counts that appear with the chord.

`metadata.csv` contains the metadata (era, genre, and origin) about each song's artist, as obtained from gracenote API. The songID is shared with the `chordwords.csv`
