This model is understood as direct citizen participation in public life using the Internet. The author, starting from a general reflection on the relationship of information technologies and politics, draws at‑tention to such concepts as: electronic participation, collective intel‑ligence, open public data, e‑governance and collaborative governance to formulate a thesis that the observed changes in the relationships between state and citizen leads us to re‑assimilate the republican model, in which the citizen actively and directly co‑creates law and institutions in a different way than it is done in the system of repre‑sentative democracy
