The following designations are used: v₀ and v are the initial rate of aggregation of target protein in the absence and presence of chaperone, respectively; n is a power exponent in Eq. (9); x is the [chaperone]/[target protein] ratio; S is the stoichiometry of the chaperone–target protein complex.
