Panels B and C show traces for 30 representative neurons from a synaptically coupled network without and with 180 Hz DBS pulsing, respectively. In Panel A, snapshots of the probability density are taken at 90 Hz. At t = 0.5 seconds, pulsatile stimulation is turned on. Panel D shows characteristic synaptic currents felt by a single neuron with and without DBS pulsing. Panel F shows the probability density ρ¯(θ) averaged over multiple snapshots after initial transients have decayed when DBS pulsing is on and panel E gives the cumulative distribution. Here, we observe a similar clustering pattern, with nearly equal amounts of neurons in each cluster.
