<p>Rebound bursting responses of the CA3 model neuron to a hyperpolarizing current injection (0.03 nA for 50 ms) to mimic inhibitory GABA synaptic inputs. Note the initial hyperpolarization of the membrane and the subsequent rebound before action potential firing (black line). Without T-type Ca2+ channels, the model fails to rebound (red line). The Migliore CA3 model is also unable to generate rebound excitation in response to a hyperpolarizing current injection (0.3 nA for 50 ms, blue line).</p>
