. Transcript abundances were quantified in specimens from cocaine abusers and control subjects. All subjects died of gunshot wounds (see Table 1 as well as Materials and Methods for case characteristics). Data from cocaine abusers are expressed as a percentage (mean + SEM) of control subjects. * p<0.05; ** p<0.005 by 1-tailed t-test for independent means.
