World scaled by number of documents with authors from each country in Web of Science: 2016

Map is scaled based on the number of articles that have at least one author with an affiliation from that country for all document types found in the Web of Science with a 2016 published date.

This map was inspired by the out of date map over at worldmapper.org. It is an updated version of the 2011 edition. Due to differences in the implementations, the maps cannot be directly compared to one another.

Map scaled using the Cartogram-Chart library which itself relies on Shawn Allen's topogram algorithm.
