To investigate the funding landscape in petroleum academic domain

Remark: We are not able to obtain data on the amount of funding so we will evaluate the effectiveness of the work of the funds by the number of publications, funded organizations, countries and research topics

Main result:

Russian Federation meet only three times in the funding tables but has 214 published articles (China 802, United States 370)

The main issue of Russian Federation is low international collaboration but not publication activity
