Poster describing drone-based photogrammetric reconstruction of river topograpy along the Tapuaeroa River, East Cape, NZ. A DEM of Difference (2015-2016) reveals patterns of erosion and deposition. Major accumulations of sediment from the passage of Cyclone Bola in 1988 are being reworked and sent downstream. The method provides a detailed record of the rates and mechanisms of floodplain change, and offers much promise for monitoring the passage of sedimentary disturbance.
