Time-resolved whole field investigation of the phenomena of laser produced plasma-induced shockwaves in the media of different densities

In laser ablation the laser pulse hits the material causing fragments of material coming out accompanied with an emission of bright light. This finds application in the domains of medicine, chemistry, mineralogy, material sciences etc. The emission when characterised tells us about the composition of the material and the fragmentation leads to the formation of nanoparticles. The observations presented, will help future researchers to make use of this process in various engineering and scientific applications.
