The effects of preterm birth and intrauterine growth restriction on kidney development and renal function in the neonate

The focus of this thesis was to examine the effects of preterm birth on kidney development and function during the early period after birth. Furthermore, the thesis explored the effects of growth restriction in the womb on the developing human kidney and on kidney function when followed by preterm birth.
