A tandem Cu­(I)-catalyzed conjugate addition of Kharasch reagents/diastereoselective protonation of (<i>E</i>)-α<b>-</b>trialkylsilyl-β-alkyl­(aryl)-α,β-unsaturated esters afforded the saturated products with d.r. values of >20:1 favoring the anti-diastereomer in modest to excellent isolated yields.
