Symbolic Toolboxes For Differential Geometry and Mathematical Physics
journal contribution
posted on 2018-04-22, 22:21 authored by Charles TorreCharles Torre, IAN ANDERSONThe DifferentialGeometry (DG) software provides advanced mathematical functionalities for research and teaching in the areas of differential geometry, Lie theory, general relativity, and geometric methods for differential equations.
The current project will provide additional infrastructure for symbolic computing in differential geometry and its applications; meet specific user community demands; and
explore new areas where symbolic methods have heretofore been unused.
Toolboxes and libraries in the areas of differential geometry, general relativity, exterior differential systems, integrable systems and Lie theory are being created.
