Sustainable hydrolysis of protein waste: an engineering approach using enzymes

thesis
posted on 2018-11-17, 00:14 authored by MADURA BAIRAVI ANANDA KUMAR
This Master thesis broadly explores the potential of converting protein waste into high-value products in a sustainable way. This research demonstrates a bioprocess combining enzymes, nature’s catalysts, with the unconventional solvent ionic liquids to break down abundantly available keratin. It then looks at ways to improve the efficiency of this process.
