A preliminary observation indicates the change of flow regime in the Cikapundung riverbank from previous observation in 1997. There were 24 measurement points, distributed along the riverbank at Sangkuriang (Dago) to viaduct segment. This field measurements were taken in March, April, and May 2014 using portable instruments. Six parameters were measured: water level, temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), electroconductivity (EC), dissolved-oxygen (DO), and pH. Preliminary finite difference model in the effluent flow regime has marked 3.5 km northward shift from the previous known boundary. The model is unable to detect similar shift at the south boundary. Moreover, water quality parameters indicate an averagely 15% increase in TDS and EC. Also some DO and pH readings exceed the permissible limit. These values suggest a lifted groundwater mineralization from organic and nonorganic sources and change of chemical stability. The source, however, is still under further examination.
