Description

R script used to implement the hierarchical model used in analysis of the relationship between grassland primary productivity and potential driver variables in the paper ‘Anthropogenic nitrogen deposition predicts local grassland primary production worldwide’. A full description of the hierarchical model is given in Appendix A. The hierarchical model predicting plot-level aboveground biomass was constructed by combining plot-level and site-level predictors as follows. The natural log of the live biomass harvested at peak standing crop (an estimate of aboveground annual productivity) was the response variable. The following code was run in R v3.0.2 and JAGS 3.1.0 using R2Jags 0.03-11.
