A dataset of 29 black bass specimens collected below Morgan Falls Dam and at Cochran Shoals in the Chattahoochee River, Georgia. These specimens were identified based on a suite of phenotypic characteristics and later genotyped with 16 microsatellite loci that provided proportional assignment to taxa. Specimens represent various genetic assignments, including pure Shoal Bass (Micropterus cataractae), pure non-native congeners, and associated hybrids.
