A single-element flat-faced transducer, the diameter of 50 mm, was driven by an arbitrary function generator and a power amplifier. Inverted 35 mm dish was placed 5 cm above the ultrasound transducer in a water bath. An absorber was placed on the inverted dish to prevent generation of standing waves.
