SCHOOL CURRICULUM ASSESSMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PHONOLOGICAL SKILLS IN SPANISH CHILDREN

ABSTRACT Among little children’s speech disorders, we can underline, due to its prevalence in the educational context, the so-called phonological disorders. Due to this, a school program was designed and planned with the purpose of evaluating its effects in the phonological development of children and to check its potential to enable their speech. Fifty children from kindergarten and primary school with phonological disorder were chosen and divided into two groups, an experimental and a control one. From a nearly pre-test/post test experimental design, we noticed that the treatment group did better than the control one, proving the efficiency of the program for the phonological performance of the children.
