Records of threatened species of butterflies of Tripura, Northeast India

Its occurrence is rare and considered as 'endangered' as per the Indian wildlife protection Act 1972, and as 'Near threatened' as per the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The species is restricted in distribution to South Asia.
