Datasets usually provide raw data for analysis. This raw data often comes in spreadsheet form, but can be any collection of data, on which analysis can be performed.
This repository contains all data, R code and associated functions to replicate analyses presented in Fecchio et al., Climate variation influences host specificity in avian malaria parasites (Ecology Letters). You can either use the versions of analysis files that have already been generated and supplied to jump straight to the analysis section (Appendix S3) or can follow the step-by-step instructions given in the pdf files for Appendices S1 and S2 to re-generate these analysis files. A number of specific R libraries are needed to complete the analyses. These are generally all accessible directly through CRAN, but users will also need a working version of JAGS (http://mcmc-jags.sourceforge.net/). Please note that the model at the heart of the analyses is probabilistic and uses stochastic start values. Users may therefore need to specify different run lengths in order to reach convergence.
