Quantitative phase microscopy images of spherical droplets, beads, and cells

Example data sets for quantitative phase imaging.

These data were used by Müller et al. [1] to demonstrate the
accurate retrieval of size and refractive index for spherical
objects by means of a two-dimensional phase data fitting
algorithm.

Abbreviations:

- DHM: digital holographic microscopy
- FUS: fused in sarcoma (RNA-binding protein)
- HL60: name of a human leukemia cell line
- QLSI: quadri-wave lateral shearing interferometry
- PAA: Polyacrylamide (hydrogel)
- PBS: phosphate buffered saline (buffer medium)

The data are related to [1] according to the following scheme:

The data are stored in different file formats:

- .tif: digital holography data or (!) SID4Bio (Phasics S.A.) data
- .h5: HDF5-based qpimage [2] file format
- .zip: each ZIP file contains several .tif files
- .cfg: meta data and analysis recipe for each data set,
stored as a DryMass [3] profile

The phase data can be extracted with DryMass [3] and qpformat [4],
e.g. using the command-line interface of DryMass:

dm_analyze_sphere --profile DHM_2015-11-09_HL60.cfg DHM_2015-11-09_HL60.zip
