Proteome database of Carnobacterium maltaromaticum LMA 28
Able to grow anaerobically, Carnobacterium maltaromaticum is not known to cause disease in humans. This work sought to provide fundamental proteomic information of this Gram-positive bacterium through parsing its UniProt proteome file using an in-house MATLAB proteome analysis software. The resulting proteome database comprises protein name, amino acid sequence, number of residues of protein, molecular weight and nucleotide sequence of protein. Such information should be useful in molecular cloning workflow seeking to identify the function of particular protein in the species or for genome editing task in understanding function of genes in a whole-cell context.
