Prolegomena of modal organization of Jaw harp music on the example of the articulatory degrees of 'talking khomus.'

This paper presents an overview of the literature on indigenous Jaw harp musical traditions of Northeastern Eurasia, and identifies the main principles of its tonal organization in an attempt to formulate a new analytic approach to world's timbre-based music.
