Presentation of the INVIS full color night vision system

The TNO INVIS system provides a real-time all-weather all-time full color image with a natural color appearance, by fusing Intensified Visual, Near-Infrared and Thermal imagery, using the TNO patented ''Color the Night'' false color mapping principle. The system also provides a virtual 3D representation of the observed environment, and includes a range of different real-time image enhancement techniques, like dynamic noise reduction and superresolution. The INVIS can be used for navigation and surveillance in hostile environments with low-light and adverse viewing conditions, such as disaster areas and battle fields. The synthetic environment provided by the INVIS system serves as a tactical support and mission preparation tool.
