In today’s progressive society, you would think that the idea of better, effective, and more efficient safety technology in our major sports would be universally accepted; sadly, this doesn’t seem to always be the case. Where do we draw the line between fulfilling man’s blood thirsty need to witness carnage and providing adequate protection for its participants? It’s not latest news that concussions, head injuries, A.L.S., among other ailments are on the rise in many of professional sports today.

The implementation of these modern technologies would do nothing but benefit the industry, regardless of the cost, though many hardcore traditionalists are against this. They argue that the utilization of these several types of concussion detection technologies would take a lot away from these games they so dutifully spectate. Viewed in its totality, the use of these technologies in modern sports would greatly protect athletes greatly, in both in field detection and future illness prevention, early research has shown. Regardless of what these “old school traditionalists” insist on being in their eyes the real game, we feel the further research and use of these modern technologies are paramount. After-all, if we don’t improve the safety and life expectancy of our sporting professionals, we'd almost as unsympathetic as the Ancient Romans.
