Moving towards a culture for quality in higher education institutions

The study explores Sultan Qaboos University’s stakeholders’ perceptions of quality and how these perceptions along with the implementation of QA processes impacted on the development of a quality culture in the institution.The findings showed that stakeholders varied in their perceptions of quality due lack of involvement, lack of sufficient communication, priorities and interests.The findings also showed that the implementation of QA processes positively impacted on the cultural and contextual aspects of SQU thus enhancing the development of a quality culture in the case-study institution.Religion and national culture were found to impact on the promotion of a quality culture at SQU.
