Animation of quadrupedal lateral sequence walking with a duty factor approaching 1 suitable for grazing, with the assumption that the unloaded limb (grey) swings forwards with a timing that maximises the distance of centre of mass (blue circle) from a boundary of the polygon of support (grey parallelogram). This is not consistent with observations of grazing livestock.
