Data presented here is based on the paper 

"Climate-driven introduction of the Black Death and successive plague reintroductions into Europe", in PNAS.org

Raw datasets of the medieval plague outbreaks, current-day plague reservoirs, and the compilation of medieval traderoutes (based on OWTRAD) available at Zenodo.

 

Note that the maps of current-day plague reservoirs were based on publically available data, are focused on Asia, and are not exhaustive. These were gathered and digitized by W. Ryan Easterday. Source articles for each of the plague foci are available in the Plague Foci Eurasia.kmz at Zenodo
