(a) Photograph of the soft foam, adjustable optical recording cap used in the study. Detectors were fitted into the larger tubes while sources were fitted into the smaller tubes. The cap was further secured to the subject’s head by tightening an elastic band around its circumference of the cap and through the usage of a custom-built chin strap.
