Managing Parks and Recreation in a Covid-19 World

As a special episode of SHIFT’s Health & Nature webinar series, our invited panelists answer questions about how COVID-19 has changed the way that parks and recreation are now being managed. COVID-19 could last into the summer—a time when most parks see their greatest influx of visitors. Therefore, we ask: How do we proactively manage our parks on an on-going basis in a world of Covid-19? How can we keep parks open, while also safe for recreation? Our panelists from the U.S. National Park Service, City Park Alliance, and National Recreation and Park Association discuss challenges and potential solutions, and answer questions from the audience.
