The infection was performed in the presence of serum at an MOI of 3 in the presence or absence of ganciclovir (GCV, 50 μM). Cells were harvested 48 hpi and stained with propidium iodide and anti-IE1 antibodies prior to flow cytometry. (B) Histogram peaks show the DNA content in IE1 positive gated cells. The cells with a 2n DNA content are in G1 and the 4n content represent the cells in G2/M. Percentages of cells in each phase of the cell cycle are indicated numerically.
