Kōrero Kitea is a research project that explores some of the ways digitised te reo Māori (Māori language) collections are being used, and what impacts that use is delivering to New Zealand – to the people and communities who use these digitised collections.

This paper reports on the first phase of the project, which gathered qualitative and quantitative information from an online survey conducted in April and May 2016.
